Core Game Concept
In the Battle Mile Race, two teams of five compete, with strategic substitutes available. Real-time tracking of split times every 200 meters (100m indoor) allows teams to adjust their tactics, enhancing performance through pace adjustments and Joker substitutions. Teams accumulate points through a tournament format, advancing to playoffs and ultimately competing for top league rankings.
Tournaments
Ace Battle Mile tournaments are key presentation competitions that provide teams the opportunity to demonstrate their qualification. By maintaining an active rating, teams showcase their commitment and competitive level within the Ace Battle rating system. Successful participation and ranking updates in these tournaments serve as stepping stones, potentially qualifying teams for entry into the prestigious Ace Battle League.
Unique Battle Mile Concept
Unlike traditional races, our flagship event—the Battle Mile—introduces a new level of excitement and team dynamics to mile-long races. We organize team running events in a unique format that focuses on both individual and team races, as well as competition across different levels. Our events cater to various types of teams and formats, making the experience more engaging and diverse for participants. Here's how our approach stands out:
GAME BATTLE MILE
A national-level competition in which Game Teams, made up of a full roster of 11 runners. They hold a ranking and are eligible to compete in the BATTLE MILE Games and ACE BATTLE MILE Games. These games are a unique aspect of our competition, offering both national and international stages, competing against each other, featuring various race formats and strategies.
ACE BATTLE MILE
An international-level competition that also involves Game Teams. This event includes multiple types of races, such as the Individual Rating Mile, Team Rating Mile, and Battle Mile Game, offering a wide range of opportunities for athletes to showcase their abilities in both individual and team formats. The teams consist of 7 to 12 participants here, who have the right to participate in various ranking competitions, regardless of the total number of participants, but with a minimum of 7 runners. This allows flexibility and encourages participation at multiple levels.
Our events provide a fresh and dynamic take on competitive running, emphasizing teamwork, strategy, and the thrill of competition at both national and international levels.
The game, named Battle Mile, began in 2019 in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Since then, the competition’s team battles have gained widespread popularity throughout the country. From 2020 to 2021, the National Organisation for Team Running—BATTLE MILE Ukraine—hosted the first national league in Kyiv, with 32 amateur teams from across Ukraine participating.
In 2022, the international organisation Ace Battle Association was founded in Luxembourg, where the Association is currently headquartered, to develop this type of sports game. By 2023, the first international matches of Battle Mile were held in Brussels, Belgium, featuring teams from Kyiv and Brussels. Interest in this sport continues to grow among running enthusiasts across various European countries.
In November 2024, the international sports Ace Battle Association (ABA) aba.run unveiled the ACE Battle project at the European Business Conference in Athens through its acebattle.run platform. By 2025, this exciting new game will be available to running enthusiasts all over Europe.
