Categories by Age

U11 Category
• Distance: 400 m 
• Team Composition: 8 players total (6 main +extra : ace + joker).
• Player Age: Under 11 years only.

U12 - U15 Category
• Distance: 800 m
• Team Composition: 8 players total (6 main + extra : ace + joker).
• Player Age: 12-15 years.

U16 - U17 Category 
• Distance: 1 mile 
• Team composition: 8 players total (6 main + extra : ace + joker). 
 

Ranking Criteria:

1. Performance Points (PP):
   • The core of the ranking system is based on each team's total race time.
   • Formula: $$PP = 1200 - \text{Total Team Time (in seconds)}$$
   • The faster the team finishes, the higher their performance points.
   • Example: A team with a total time of 5 minutes (300 seconds) earns 1200 - 300 = 900 points.
2. Consistency Bonus:
   • Teams that consistently deliver good times over multiple events are rewarded with consistency points.
   • If a team’s performance is steady, they receive bonus points for maintaining similar times across several races.
   • Example: A team that finishes within a close range of their previous race times (e.g., 5:00, 5:02, 5:01) earns extra consistency points.
3. Participation Points:
   • Teams that compete in multiple races during the season are awarded participation points. This encourages regular participation and commitment.
   • Formula: $$\text{Participation Points} = \text{Number of Races} \times 10$$
   • Example: A team that participates in 6 events earns 60 additional points.
4. Strategic Adjustments:
   • Some races might require teams to adjust their strategy (e.g., pacing themselves for a later race), which affects the team’s performance. In such cases, the ranking system applies a Team Performance Adjusted Points (TPAP) formula:
   • Formula: $$TPAP = PP \times \text{Team Strategy Factor}$$
   • Example: If the team holds back strategically in one race, applying a factor of 0.5 reduces their performance points accordingly.
